Day 58 - Lines and Desk

Today I did a new technique.  I cut out little shapes and colored over them.  I made the background first and then traced these shapes over and I actually enjoy how it turned out!

Day 57 - Snuff

If anyone knows me, they know that I enjoy tobacco in all forms.  Nasal snuff has become a new endeavor for me.  I enjoy it tremendously.  Before every art piece I've done this year, I always take a pinch of snuff before starting.  It kind of inspires me in a way.  I find tobacco to be a great form of pleasure.  Nasal Snuff.

Day 54 - Dr. Live Portrait

As I have stated before in one of my earlier pieces, I am currently writing a book (or a trilogy rather) and this is a portrait of the main bad guy.  His name is Dr. Live.  And he's completely evil.  This was mostly done with oil conte crayons except for the background which was charcoal.

For my first day of color, I went with something simple.  A lemon.  And then at last minute, I added a black widow.  Color is not my strongest medium.  But I will practice.

Day 50 - Entering the World of Color

For the past 49 days, I have done nothing but B&W Charcoal pieces.  Some with pencil, but whatever. Today is day 50.  It's time to start practicing something new.  So now for the next 50 or so days, I will be doing nothing but color pieces.  Color is not a strongpoint of mine so it will be a lot of practice and growing for me.  Wish me luck.  In this picture, the stick figure is me, and I am walking down a hallway with all my previous 49 days posted on the walls.  And I'm about to open the door into the world of color.
